Safe Way Demolition ("we", "us", "our") is a licensed demolition and asbestos removal contractor operating across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. This policy explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

2. What information we collect

  • Your name, email, phone number and site address (when you request a quote or contact us).
  • Job details you provide — scope of work, asbestos disclosure, timing and budget.
  • Photos of the site you choose to send us.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited (via cookies and analytics).

3. How we use your information

  • Prepare and send you a quote.
  • Schedule a site visit and complete the demolition or asbestos works.
  • Comply with WorkSafe, EPA and council notification requirements.
  • Follow up after a job and request a Google review.
  • Improve our website and services.

We never sell your personal information.

4. Who we share information with

We only share your information with: (a) our crew and licensed sub-contractors working on your job; (b) regulators when required by law (e.g. asbestos notifications); (c) trusted service providers we use to run the business (email, SMS, hosting and analytics) bound by their own privacy obligations.

5. Storage & security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase / AWS) with encryption in transit and at rest. We retain quote enquiries for up to 7 years for tax and regulatory purposes.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing louis@safewaydemo.au. You can also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send.

7. Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your data, contact us first. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
